Coppery Pink and Bronze Tutorial

This is another great look for summer because it just has that sunkissed quality..and it is super easy to do because it is a sort of ombre eye.  If you don’t have these colors: “Expensive Pink” is like a coppery pink….it definitely has some sheen to it.  “Twinks” is a coppery brown…it has some sheen to it as well.  “Handwritten” is just a deep matte brown…almost a deep bark color.   Now, I am not tan or bronzed in any way, shape or form so I don’t use a lot of bronzer because it can look very unnatural on my super fair skin….BUT for those of you who already have some color this summer or you are naturally darker, pair this eye look with a nice bronzer and  a peachy blush and you will look like you stepped out of a St. Tropez ad.

Products Used:

MAC Eyeshadows in “Expensive Pink”, “Twinks” and “Handwritten”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, NYX Lipstick in “Indian Pink”.

Prep:

Apply concealer all over the lid to the brow, all around the eye and underneath the eye.  Set with powder.  Apply your eyeshadow primer, I used MAC’s Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”.

Step 1:

Using a large fluffy brush, apply “Expensive Pink” all over the lid, stopping when you hit the brow bone.  It should look something like this:

Step 2:

Using a stiff brush, apply “Twinks” to the entire lid—stopping at the crease.  It should look something like this:

Step 3:

Using a bullet brush, apply “Handwritten” to the upper lash line.  I actually wet my brush, dipped it in “Handwritten” and then ran it over my lash line.  It is going to be subtle and just add a little bit of darkness.  Wipe off your bullet brush and apply some “Twinks” from the outside corner of the lower lash line to about halfway in.  Wipe off your bullet brush again and apply some “Expensive Pink” to the rest of the lash line…where “Twinks” ends inward-stopping at the inner corner.  It will look something like this:

Step 4:

Apply some gel liner to your lower waterline.  If you have a little excess, you can smudge it into the outer part of the lower lashline if you choose.  Apply your lashes.  I used a new kind of lashes for y’all!!!!  These are “Salon Secrets” demi wispies.  They were a great deal for retail lashes and I picked them up at Walmart (Which is also the cheapest place to get your Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in case you were wondering).  Anyway, they were around $9.00 for a pack of 6 pairs and they are great.  After you apply your lashes, go over any gaps or excess glue with gel liner.  Apply mascara to blend your real lashes into your new lashes.  Your final product should look something like this:

and this:

I put some NYX Lipstick in “Indian Pink” on my lips as a final touch….it is actually very similar to what “Expensive Pink” shadow would look like in lipstick form….it is a light pink with a copper sheen.
