Cream and Gray-quick eye makeup tutorial

This is a suuuuper simple eye look because there are three colors involved….and there is only one color that is dark enough that you actually have to pay attention to it when applying….Seriously it can be done very quickly.   The great thing about this is that the dark color can be replaced with ANY color you feel like using that day…. you can just pick the new “crease” color…I just happened to use the dirty/gray/brown/black that is “Smut” from MAC.   If you don’t want the “smokey” look, stop with the winged liner and don’t apply any liner below.

Products Used:

MAC Eyeshadows in “Shroom”, “Brule” and “Smut”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, NYX Lipstick in “Strawberry Milk”

PREP:

Apply concealer to the entire lid up to the brow, all around the eye and underneath the eye.  Set with powder.  Apply your eyeshadow primer to the entire lid, up to the brow.  My eyeshadow primer is MAC’s Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”.

Step 1:

Using a big fluffy, apply “Brule” over the entire lid…up to the brow.  I did not take a picture of this….it would be a little silly to do so because you wouldn’t be able to see it!  It is just a nice skin tone (for me!) color to use as a base.

Step 2:

Using a bullet brush, apply your crease color (I used MAC’s “Smut”)  to the outer “V” and the crease.   It doesn’t have to be perfect, it can be messy…we are going to blend it later. It will look something like this:

Step 3:

Using a stiff brush, pick up some of your highlight color (I used MAC’s “Shroom”) and apply it everywhere you see white space…so basically everywhere that you applied your base color but not over your crease color.  Blend your colors with a large fluffy.  Now apply your liner and wing it.  If you would like to see how I do this, visit my tutorial on it here.  As I said before, you can stop here or you can apply gel liner to the waterline, the lashline and then smudge with your bullet brush.  Apply your false lashes, (I used Andrea #33 lashes) and go over any excess glue with gel liner.   Apply a coat of mascara to blend your real lashes into your fake lashes.  Your final product should look like this:

and this:

I applied NYX’s “Strawberry Milk” lipstick to my lips because I felt like having a super girlie lip today.  This is a great color if you apply it sparingly….it is one of those that can be too light and too much if you use it at it’s full capacity.  Hope you enjoy!!!
