Make your own tinted moisturizer

Ever find yourself wanting just a bit of coverage but not wanting to have a full blown face full of makeup that your full coverage foundation provides?  I do…Heck I don’t even go to the pool or the beach bare-faced….So this is where a tinted moisturizer is your best friend.  I have to admit…99% of the time I am a full coverage kind of girl…I “put on my face” everyday.  So why am I going to purchase a tinted moisturizer that is just going to sit there and expire (if it contains sunscreen) until the next time I make it to the pool or beach?  That is why I just make my own….you can make it in small amounts and it is perfect when you are on the go and don’t have time to blend a full coverage foundation.

Products Used:

Loreal Visable Lift Smooth Absolute Foundation and Lancome Renergie Lift Volumetry Moisturizer

Step 1(…and the only step):

Place equal parts foundation and moisturizer on the back of your hand..this will create a pretty sheer tinted moisturizer.  If you want it to be less sheer..add less moisturizer or add more foundation (rocket science I know).  Just mix it all up and see what kind of consistency you have and then you can adjust from there.

And there you have it…a quick tinted moisurizer!!!!  In the picture below, you can see the difference in the foundation on the left and our new sheer tinted moisturizer on the right:

I think this is the perfect consistency for an errand running day where you don’t want to take the time to do a full face!!!  Lastly….if you happen to have a foundation that is sunscreen free (great for photos not great for everyday protection) make sure to add some sunscreen in if you know you will be outside and would like to be protected.  Hope you enjoyed this !
