Pink and Gray Smokey Eye Tutorial
I have weddings on the brain recently which is what inspired this post! 1. I spent this past weekend with my friend visiting venues for her upcoming wedding and talking about color schemes and 2. I am going to a wedding next weekend that is going to have a very romantic feel… and what is more romantic than pink!!! This is a great look that is super easy to do….if you don’t want to go as dark, nix the black and just stick with the grey! Hope you enjoy
Products Used:
MAC Eyeshadows in “Girlie”, “Scene” and “Carbon”, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”, NYX Lipstick in “Paparazzi”.
PREP:
Conceal your lid, underneath they eye and all around the eye. Set it with powder. Apply your eyeshadow primer, I used MAC’s Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”
Step 1:
Using a fluffy brush, take your dusty pink (I used MAC’s “Girlie”) and apply it all over the lid and up the eye-stopping at the brow bone. It should look like this:
Step 2:
Using a bullet brush, take your gray (I used MAC’s “Scene”) and apply into the outer “V”. Pass through the crease towards the inner corner stopping at the beginning of the iris. I take the grey and apply it just over the top of the crease as well-not as far up as the pink but just before the pink stops. Unblended, t will look something like this:
Step 3:
***If you want to stop here you can. Just apply your highlighter to your brow bone, down into the corner of the eye and blend, blend, blend everything together and continue to step 5. Using a bullet brush, apply your black shade into the crease and along the outer “V” . Unblended, t will look something like this:
Step 4:
Using a stiff brush, apply your highlight shade from the brow bone all the way down into the corner of the eye. Take your fluffy brush and blend out your black and gray. Buff over it back and forth until you reach your desired level of blending. Also, blend along the line of the gray into the black and the pink into the highlight. It will look something like this:
Step 5:
Apply your gel liner to the waterline. You can also apply liner to the “upper” waterline. You can do this by A: tilting your head back in the mirror to apply and B: applying extra to your lower water line and then closing your eyes hard so that it transfers from the bottom to the top. Apply a thin line of gel underneath the eye and smudge it out with a bullet brush. Pick up some of your pink eyeshadow and apply it under the eye at the lash line right over the black liner. Apply your lashes ( I used Andrea #33 lashes) and go over an excess dried glue with some gel liner. Your final product should look like this:
And this:
Add on some NYX Lipstick in “Paparazzi” and you are good to go!!!
