If you haven’t figured it out yet, I love rusty/burgundy/pinky/brown colors….so I love playing around with new combinations where I can subtly sneak that rusty color in. Rusty colors are great on all eye colors…they bring out the warmth in my brown, and highlight green and blue eyes to make their color stand out more. If you don’t have these colors, use a light pink for “Girlie” a rusty color for “Star Violet” , a deep dark brown for the “Handwritten” and a dark purple for “Sketch”. Hope you enjoy!!!
MAC Eyeshadows in “Star Violet”, “Handwritten”, “Sketch” and “Girlie”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, NYX Lipstick in “Spell Bound”
Apply your concealer all over your eyelid up to the brow, all around the eye and underneath the eye. Set with powder. Apply your eyeshadow primer (I used MAC’s Paint Pot in ” Soft Ochre”) to the entire lid up to the brows.
Using a big fluffy, apply “Star Violet” all over the lid and upward….stopping at the brow bone. It should look something like this:
Take your big fluffy and apply “Sketch” in the crease, the outer “V” and on the bottom lid stopping about halfway in. Because you are using your big fluffy to apply this shadow it is not going to be super bold…. It is going to be a subtle contour that blends very well. Wipe off your big fluffy and apply some “Girlie” to the inner part of the eye…from the opposite side of the inside corner up to meet the “Star Violet”. Again, this is really subtle because you are using a light brush to apply it. It should look something like this:
Using a bullet brush, apply “Handwritten” into the crease (about 1/3-1/2 way in) and outer “V”. It should look darker now… something like this:
Apply your highlight color with a stiff brush from the brow bone down into the inner corner. Now take your big fluffy and blend your darks together….wipe your brush off and blend your highlight color into “Star Violet”. Apply gel liner to your waterline. Smudge it out with your bullet brush. Pick up some “Star Violet” on your bullet brush and apply it to the lash line from the inside corner to the middle of the eye. Pick up some “Handwritten” or “Sketch” with your bullet brush and apply it from the middle of the eye to the end of the lash line. Apply your lashes…(I used Andrea #33) and cover any excess glue with gel liner. Apply a coat of mascara to blend your lashes together. ****If you would like to see a video tutorial on how to apply fake lashes click here. Your final product should look something like this:
Apply some NYX “Spell Bound” and you are good to go! I love “Spell Bound” because it can go on more sheer and you can build the coverage later….a great one to have in your purse.
