Soft pink/purple eye-Quick Tutorial
This has been the week of super quick eye looks…. and I am about to throw another one your way!! This look involves two colors and minimum time/steps which = awesomeness. This is also a look that is on the “lighter” side with (almost) no eyeliner. If you don’t have these colors….use a taupe purple for “Quarry” and a pink purple that has some sheen to it for “Plum Dressing”. Purples are a great way to pump up brown eyes and they look great on you green and blue eyed gals because they make your eyes pop!
Products Used:
MAC Eyeshadows in “Quarry” and “Plum Dressing”, Julie Hewett Cheekie in “Vampire”, Maybelline Eyestudio gel liner in “Blackest Black”, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”
PREP:
Apply concealer to the entire lid up to the brow, all around the eye and underneath the eye. Set with powder. Apply your eyeshadow primer, (I used MAC’s Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”).
Step 1:
Using a big fluffy, apply “Quarry” all over the lid…stopping at the brow bone. It will be light and look something like this:
Step 2:
Using your bullet brush, apply “Plum Dressing” to the outer crease and outer V…it should look something like this:
Step 3:
Apply your highlight color from the brown bone down into the inner corner. Using your big fluffy, blend your “Plum Dressing” into your “Quarry” and your “Quarry” into your highlight. Pick up some “Plum Dressing” on your bullet brush and apply it to your lower lashline. Apply your false lashes..I used Salon Secrets Demi Wispies. Go over any excess glue with a little bit of gel liner. Apply a coat of mascara to blend your real lashes into your fake lashes. Your finished product should look something like this:
and this:
So I went a little vampy (for lack of a better word) on the lip today because I wanted it to have a nice stained quality…so I used Julie Hewett’s cheekie in “Vampire”. I realize the lip may not be everyone’s cup ‘o tea (even though I adore this color for both lips and cheeks–there are very few similar colors out there)….BUT you can pair this with a nice pink or nude lip as well!
